ColdCaseDVDs.com FAQs (frequently-asked questions)
Question
- I'd like to join you folks, but who are you?
- Why are you doing this?
- Do any of you work for the studios?
- Who put the web site together?
- How did you get that image of Cold Case DVDs, with "widescreen" on the boxes? Was that an actual picture?
Answer
We are a group of fans that have met on the Look Again message board. A lot of us post elsewhere too, such as the Cold Case-Source #1 board and the imdb.com message board. This site was set up because we know that the Cold Case community is a bit fragmented in the cyberspace world. It was felt that one central website for this effort is a good solution to that situation. Tranlations were provided by: FrenchFan, DisasterFreak, Myril, Rabi, and Ewka. Avatars provided by Ruda and Mickey. Web site design by empiregraphics.com. Editorial look-over given by TVFan and Naj. Content written by Boxman. Special thanks to InsideR, for some direction to head this campaign.
Back to topIt seemed as if Cold Case fans weren't getting the word that the studios may be re-considering DVDs for this show, if we show them in large numbers that we're interested. The rumours about "music licensing issues" stopping the DVD release had spread around the internet for quite a while. This site was started to stop those rumours from spreading further and to start taking action––to show the studios that yes, we do want Cold Case DVDs (and a Soundtrack CD too).
Back to topThanks goes to Mickey at empiregraphics.com. He did the programming and the graphics.
Back to topIt was done through a 3D-modelling program called Strata 3d. What I did here was easy. I just grabbed that picture that is available everywhere on the 'net and put it on a box. Check out the crazy stuff people create with this program at : http://www.stratacafe.com/gallery.asp
